POSITION SUMMARY:
To serve as Attending Clinician of the College outpatient and student clinics supervising patient care and the instruction of interns in those skills needed for the practice of chiropractic.  The supervision and training of interns in all areas of chiropractic practice. Counseling interns, and enforcement of clinic policies and regulations.  Direct contact with patients and their care.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Responsible for the direct supervision of the interns assigned to them to insure the efficient functioning of the clinic program and a high level of patient care.
  2. Recommend to the Director of Clinics any procedural changes that may produce a more efficient and effective clinical operation.
  3. Review of the patients’ charts for completeness and make sure that CCE and state regulations are following.
  4. Assume the role of counselor for interns and responsibility for enforcement of clinic policies and regulations.
  5. Responsible for primary patient contact and problem management.
  6. Direct interns in the most effective methods of patient treatment and case management.
  7. Supervise the interns in current methods of diagnosis.
  8. Any other clinic programs as assigned by the director.

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  1. D.C. degree and Texas license to practice chiropractic with three years practice experience.
  2. Clinical skills as relates to chiropractic patient care. 
  3. Personnel management skills.                  
  4. Written/verbal skills. 
  5. Patience, integrity, tact, firmness, sense of fairness, able to work under stress, good team work skills.

 

JOB CONDITIONS:
40+ hours per week Monday – Friday and alternating Saturdays.  High stress, one-on-one with interns, patients, and staff.  Problem solving, clinical conferences with interns and college/clinic management.  Busy medical clinic and academic setting.

SALARY:  Based on experience.
